Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

IMPORTANT: Mark the hoses to install on the canister (1).

2. Disconnect the hoses from the canister (3).
3. Disconnect the EVAP vent valve (2) quick connect fitting at the canister.
4. Remove the canister bolt.
5. Remove the canister from the bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the canister (1) on the bracket.
2. Reinstall the canister bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Connect the [1][2]EVAP hoses (3) on the canister.
4. Connect the EVAP vent valve (2) quick connect fitting at the canister.
5. Lower the vehicle.
