Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (Without B9Q/V4U)
REAR WHEEL BEARING/HUBRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the caliper bracket.
4. Remove the caliper. Suspend the caliper.
5. Remove the rotor.
6. Disconnect the anti-lock brake sensor.
7. Remove the hub and bearing assembly.
8. Remove any corrosion from the hub mating surface.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the hub and bearing assembly.
^ Tighten the hub mounting bolts to 70 Nm (52 lb ft).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Reconnect the ABS sensor.
3. Install the rotor.
4. Install the caliper and new caliper bracket mounting bolts.
^ Tighten the caliper bracket mounting bolts to 113 Nm (83 lb ft).
^ Tighten the parking brake cable bracket bolt to 43 Nm (32 lb ft).
5. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
