CD Changer: Service and Repair
Remote CD Changer ReplacementREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Open the instrument panel storage compartment door.
2. Remove the 2 fasteners (3) from the CD changer bracket.
3. Partially remove the CD changer (2) and the bracket in order to access the electrical connector (1).
4. Disconnect the electrical connection (1).
5. Remove the CD changer and the bracket (2) from the vehicle.
6. Remove the 4 fasteners (1) from the CD changer bracket to the CD changer.
7. Remove the CD changer bracket (2) from the CD changer (3).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Secure the CD changer bracket (2) to CD changer (3) with the 4 fasteners (1).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Torque the fasteners to 2 N.m (17.5 lb in).
2. Partially install the CD changer (2).
3. Connect the electrical connection (1).
4. Insert the CD changer and bracket assembly (2) into the instrument panel storage compartment.
5. Install the 2 fasteners (3).
Tighten
Torque the fasteners to 2 N.m (17.5 lb in).
6. Close the instrument panel storage compartment.
