RDS

The system has a feature called Radio Data System (RDS). RDS is only available on FM stations which broadcast RDS information. When RDS is on, the radio can:
^ Seek only stations with the types of programs you want to listen to
^ Seek stations with traffic announcements
^ Receive announcements about local and national emergencies
^ Receive and display messages from radio stations
^ Search for a stronger station when a station is too weak for listening
