Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the night vision camera assembly (if equipped). Refer to Night Vision Camera Replacement.




3. Remove the bolts (1) securing the hood latch (2) to the hood latch support (3).
4. Remove the hood latch (2) from the hood latch support (3).




5. Remove the hood latch release cable (1) from the hood latch (2).
6. Remove the hood latch from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hood latch release cable (1) to the hood latch (2).




2. Install the hood latch (2) to the hood latch support (3).
3. Install the bolts (1) in order to secure the hood latch (2) to the hood latch support (3).
4. Adjust the hood latch. Refer to Hood Latch Adjustment (Adjustments) .
5. Install the night vision camera (if equipped). Refer to Night Vision Camera Replacement.
6. Close the hood.
