Outside Mirrors Description

The mirror select switch, which is a part of the drivers door switch assembly is placed in L or R to indicate the mirror to be moved. The drivers Door Switch Assembly Module (DDSA) receives the active high input from the mirror select switch and also receives an active high input from the mirror switch when the switch is actuated. The four mirror switch contacts are in the comers of the switch. The contacts are left-up, left-down, right-up, and right-down. When the mirror switch is actuated in a direct up, down, left, or right direction, the switch hits two of the contacts. The Drivers Door Switch Assembly (DDSA) recognizes the two contact input as a one direction input in the direction common to the two inputs. The DDSA then sends a message on the Serial Data Class 2 line to the Driver Door Module (DDM) or Passenger Front Door Module (PFDM) depending on the position of the mirror select switch, indicating that the mirror needs to be moved. Each mirror has two reversible motors that the door modules control by supplying Battery Positive Voltage (B+) and ground to these motors.
