Power Mirrors

The vehicle is equipped with power mirrors controlled by the Driver Door Module (DDM) and the Passenger Front Door Module (PFDM), which are located in the driver and passenger front doors. The control modules move the power mirrors in response to directions from the mirror control switches that are built into the Driver Door Switch Assembly (DDSA).

The DDSA, DDM and PFDM are joined together by the Serial Data Class 2 communications line. The processor in the DDSA detects the positions of the mirror selector switch and the mirror direction switch. The DDSA then sends this data to the DDM or the PFDM via the Serial Data Class 2 line. The DDM supplies voltage to the driver door mirror motor circuits to move the Left side mirror, and the PFDM supplies voltage to the passenger front door mirror motor circuits to move the Right side mirror.
