Sunroof / Moonroof Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Carefully pull down on the overhead console to release the tour retainer clips.

NOTE: Care should be taken not to damage the flat wire harness.

2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

IMPORTANT: The sunroof switch and the vent switch must be replaced as a pair.




3. Remove the screws (1) securing the sunroof switch (2) and the vent switch (2) to the backside of the overhead console.
4. Remove the sunroof switch (2) and the vent switch (2) from overhead console.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the sunroof switch (2) and the vent switch (2) to the overhead console.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notices in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws (1) that retain the sunroof switch (2) and the vent switch (2) to the overhead console.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1 N.m (9 lb in).

IMPORTANT: Care should be taken not to damage the flat wire harness.




3. Connect the electrical connectors.
4. Install the overhead console into the opening in the headliner.
5. Push in on the overhead console to engage the four retainer clips.
