Diagnostic System Check - Hydraulic Brakes
Test Description
The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.
2. Lack of communication may be due to a partial malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit or due to a total malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.
3. This test determines if communication can be established with the following modules.
^ Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)
^ instrument cluster
^ Rear Integration Module (RIM)
4. The presence of DTCs which begin with a "U" indicate some other module is not communicating. The specified procedure will compile all the available information before tests are performed.
5. The presence of DTCs B1000, B1004, B1007, or B1009 indicate an internal module malfunction.
6. The presence of DTCs B1327, B1328, B1513, or B1514 indicate a system voltage fault.
7. The presence of DTCs which begin with a "C" indicate an antilock brakes system fault.
