Average Fuel Economy

The average fuel economy is a function of distance divided by fuel used since the parameter was last reset. When the average fuel economy is displayed on the DIC, pressing the INFO RESET button on the DIC will reset the average fuel economy parameter. For the digital (U02) IPC, the average fuel economy parameter is also part of the instrument cluster display. The average fuel economy parameter is displayed on the DIC in one of the following formats:
^ XX.X MPG AVG
^ XXX L/100 km AVG
^ XX.X km/L AVG (Japan metric - Analog UY9)

The XX.X represents the calculated average fuel economy value. The units of the display will correspond to the current instrument cluster setting. The DIC will display 0.0 for the english and Japan metric modes and 99.9 for the normal metric mode when the parameter is reset.
