Exterior Lights Circuit Description

Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times to the stoplamp/automatic transmission shift lock control switch from the rear fuse block STOP LP Fuse. When the brake pedal is pressed, the stoplamp/automatic transmission shift lock control switch contacts close and battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied to the high mount stop lamp and the turn/hazard flasher module Stoplamp Switch Signal input. In response to this input the turn/hazard flasher module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) to the LH and RH tail lamps. The high mount stop lamp and LH and RH tail lamp are permanently grounded. The stop lamps light when they receive both power and ground.
