Headlamp Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the upper tiller panel.
3. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.




4. Remove the nut retaining the headlamp to the lower rail.




5. Pull the headlamp straight forward in order to disengage the nylon grommet at the outboard edge of the headlamp. A firm pull may be required. The nylon grommet will stay on the stud.
6. Disconnect the headlamp connector.
Remove the headlamp from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Do not push too hard while installing the electrical connector or you could push the connector through the headlamp housing.




1. Connect the headlamp connector.
2. Place the headlamp over the lower rail stud.




3. Position the outboard portion of the headlamp in order to align the nylon grommet with the headlamp mounting bracket.
4. Press the headlamp rearward in order to engage the nylon grommet with the headlamp mounting bracket.




5. Install the nut that retains the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the mounting nut to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service precautions.




6. Install the bolts (2) that retain the headlamp to the headlamp mounting bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the headlamp mounting bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

7. Install the upper tiller panel.
8. Close the hood.
