Driver Knee Bolster Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution.




1. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement (Without UV2) (Knee Bolster Replacement - Driver (Without UV2))Driver Knee Bolster Replacement (UV2) (Knee Bolster Replacement - Driver (With UV2)) .
3. Remove the 4 fasteners (1) securing the knee bolster bracket to the IP lower.
4. Remove the knee bolster bracket (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Align the knee bolster bracket (2) to lower the IP.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 4 fasteners (1).

Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement (Without UV2) (Knee Bolster Replacement - Driver (Without UV2))Driver Knee Bolster Replacement (UV2) (Knee Bolster Replacement - Driver (With UV2)) .
4. Install the left sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) .
