Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove the throttle cable bracket bolts and bracket.
3. Remove the MAP sensor from the intake manifold.

Inspect
Inspect the MAP sensor grommet for wear or damage. If a problem is found, replace as necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the MAP sensor into the intake manifold.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the throttle cable bracket and bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the cable bracket bolt.

3. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
