Ignition & Key Alarm Switch - Assemble

Assembly Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2) and secure by using the 2 tapping screws (3).
Tighten the 2 tapping screws to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
2. Install the key alarm connector (1) onto the lock module assembly (4).
3. Install the connector(s) into the bottom of the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2).
4. Put the lead in the clip located on the side of the ignition and key alarm switch assembly (2).





5. Install the coded key controller (2) onto the lock module assembly (1).





6. Connect the coded key controller connector.
7. Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Power Tilt/Telescope-Column Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Power Tilt and Telescope, Floor Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Manual Tilt, Floor Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Manual Tilt, Column Shift).
8. Install the steering column lock cylinder set. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement - On Vehicle.
