With RPO FE1 and FE3
Removal Procedure1. Raise the vehicle and support. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link assembly bolt, nut, retainer and insulators from the control arm.
3. Remove bracket clamp bolt.
4. Bend open the end of the clamp and slide over, stabilizer shaft insulators to remove.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the stabilizer shaft in position.
2. Install the Insulators into the clamp with the slit forward. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (FE1, FE3) or Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (FE7).
3. Bend bracket downward to close around the insulator.
Important: Ensure the stabilizer shaft is centered before installing the bracket bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Assemble and install the stabilizer link assembly insulators, retainers, a new support bolt and nut.
- Tighten the link assembly nut and bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten stabilizer shaft bracket bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
