Window Channel Replacement - Front Door Front/Rear
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door module.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove the window.
5. Remove the upper and lower nuts (3) from the rear window channel (4).
6. Rotate the rear window channel (4) forward.
7. Remove the rear window channel (4) through the rear access hole of the inner door panel.
8. Remove the mirror in order to access the retaining bolt (1) for the front window channel.
9. Pull out the window weatherstrip from the window channels pinchweld.
10. Remove the lower nut (3) from the front window channel (5).
11. Remove the upper bolt (1) from the push nut (2).
12. Remove the front window channel (5) through the front access hole of the inner door panel.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear window channel (4) through the rear access hole of the inner door panel.
2. Insert the studs through the inner door panel slots.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the upper and lower nuts (3).
Tighten
Tighten the rear window channel nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
4. Install the front window channel (5) through the front access hole of the inner door panel.
5. Position the front window channels (5) upper slot with the nut (2) on the outer panel of the mirror patch.
6. Insert the lower stud through the inner door panel slot.
7. Install the upper bolt (1) to the front window channel (5).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 1.3 N.m (12 lb in).
8. Install the lower nut (3) to the front window channel (5).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
9. Install the window weatherstrip to the window channels pinchweld.
10. Install the mirror.
11. Install the window.
12. Install the water deflector.
13. Install the door module.
14. Install the door trim panel.
