Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

The PCM verifies that the following system passwords received from the theft deterrent module via the class 2 serial data line are valid:
^ The enable password
^ The disable password

The PCM disables the fuel and starting systems if any of the following conditions occur:
^ The passwords are invalid.
^ The system disable password is valid.
^ No passwords are received.

If the system enable password is valid, the following conditions may occur
^ The PCM enables the fuel system.
^ The PCM grounds the starter relays.
^ The engine may start.
