System Operation

The remote function actuator (RFA) system will execute the following functions in response to pressing the buttons on the transmitter:
^ Pressing the unlock button will execute the following responses:
- Unlock the driver's door.
- Turn ON illuminated entry.
- Disarm the theft system, if equipped.
^ Pressing the unlock button a second time within 4 seconds will unlock all of the doors.
^ Pressing the lock button will lock all of the doors.
^ Pressing the rear compartment button will unlock the rear compartment. This feature is disabled if the transmission is not in PARK or the ignition is ON.
^ Pressing the fuel door button will open the fuel door.

Keyless Entry System Circuit Description
The remote function actuator (RFA) module receives battery voltage from the comfort fuse on CKT 2640. The module receives ground from CKT 1051 from G400 to terminal 4 of the RFA module connector. The RFA module sends and receives serial data messages on CKT 1807 on terminals 2 and 3 of the RFA module connector.
