Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Service Precautions Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
2. Slide the connector cover toward the front of the vehicle.
3. Unplug the connector (2).
4. Push straight in on the lever (1).
5. Rotate the lever (1) clockwise 1/4 turn.
6. Pull the lever (1) out of the switch.

Installation Procedure





1. Route the electrical harness.
2. Connect the connector (2).
3. Install the lever (1) into the switch.
4. Push straight in on the lever (1).
5. Rotate the lever (1) counterclockwise 1/4 turn in order to lock the lever (1) in position.
6. Reinstall the connector cover.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
