P/S Return Line Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the return hose from the power steering pump.





2. Remove the mounting hold down brackets from the head.
3. Raise and Support the vehicle Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the mounting hold down brackets from the frame.
5. Disconnect the return hose from the gear.
6. Remove return hose assembly from under vehicle inside of frame.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the return hose.





2. Install the return hose to the power steering pump.
3. Install the mounting hold down bracket to the head.
4. Install the mounting hold down brackets to the frame.
5. Refill the power steering pump. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

6. Install the return hose to the power steering gear.
- Tighten return hose nut to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
