Rubber Conduit Replacement - Front Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
2. Disconnect the rubber conduit from door and pillar.
3. Loosen the plastic-type nut located on conduit closest to the door.
4. Grasp the conduit close to the end being removed.
5. Using a turning/pulling motion, remove the conduit.
6. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the wiring harness connectors.
2. Install the conduit using a turning-pushing motion into the door and the pillar.
3. Using a turning/push motion, install the conduit to the door and pillar.
4. Tighten the plastic-type nut located on conduit closest to the door.
5. Enable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
