Hood Pop-Up Spring Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood.




2. Back off the primary hood latch/pilot pin lock nut.
3. Thread the pin out of the hood.

Installation Procedure




1. Thread the pin into the hood.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Adjust the hood flush clearances. Refer to VerticalHood Adjustment (Adjustments).

Tighten the primary hood latch/pivot pin lock nut to 40 Nm (30 lb ft).

3. Lower the hood.
