Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the wiring connector from the inflatable restraint module.
3. Position the seat in the full forward position.




4. Remove the rear trim cover screw from the front seat track.
5. Remove the trim cover by sliding off.




6. Remove the rear anchoring bolts from the front seat.
7. Position the seat in the full rearward position.




8. Remove the front seat anchoring bolts.
9. Position the front seat to the center and upright position. This will allow you to remove the bolts which secure the seat track to the seat frame.
10. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front seat to the vehicle.
2. Position the seat to the center and upright position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the anchoring bolts.

Tighten the anchoring bolts to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

4. Position the seat in the full forward position.




5. Install the rear anchoring bolts to the front seat.

Tighten the anchoring bolts to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

6. Install the track trim cover by sliding on.




7. Install the rear trim cover screw to the seat track.

Tighten the cover screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

8. Return the seat to the original position.
9. Install the wiring connector to the inflatable restraint module.
10. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
