67. Engine Coolant Thermostat Installation

1. Install the thermostat housing with the thermostat to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the thermostat housing bolts (1).
Tighten the thermostat housing bolts (1) to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).





3. Use new seals when installing the coolant pipe. Coat the new seals with engine coolant to assist in installation.
4. Push the coolant pipe into the thermostat housing.





5. Install the coolant pipe/engine lift bracket bolt (2).
Tighten the coolant pipe/engine lift bracket bolt (2) to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
