Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

TAIL LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove right access panel (3) if working on the right side.




3. Remove the spare tire if - working on the left side.




4. Remove tail lamp bulb/socket from tail lamp by rotating counterclockwise.
5. Disconnect the electrical harness from the tail lamp.




6. Remove the tail lamp nuts from the tail lamp.
7. Remove the tail lamp from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the tail lamp to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the tail lamp nuts to the tail lamp.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the tail lamp bulb/socket into the tail lamp rotating clockwise.
4. Connect the electrical harness to the tail lamp.




5. Install the spare tire if working on left side.




6. Install the right access panel (3) if working on right side.
7. Close the rear compartment.
