REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the passenger seat.
3. Remove the passenger seat back panel.
4. Remove the inflatable restraint front seat module Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the wiring harness connector.
5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the inflatable restraint front seat module.




6. Remove the three nuts from the inflatable restraint front seat module.
7. Remove the inflatable restraint front seat module from the passenger seat back.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the inflatable restraint front seat module to the passenger seat back.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the three nuts to inflatable restraint front seat module.

Tighten
Tighten the inflatable restraint front seat module nuts to 5 N.m ( 44 lb in).




3. Connect the wiring harness connector to the inflatable restraint front seat module.
4. Install the CPA.
5. Install the passenger seat back panel.
6. Install the passenger seat.
7. Enable the SIR system.
