20. Planetary Carrier and Output Assembly Removal

1. Remove the input sun gear bearing (651).
2. Remove the input sun gear to the planetary carrier washer (652).
3. Remove the planetary carrier assembly (653).
4. Inspect the planetary carrier and output shaft for damage and distortion.
5. Inspect the planetary pinion gears for damage and chipped teeth.





6. Remove the reaction sun gear (658).
7. Remove the reaction sun gear drum (659).
8. Remove the reaction sun gear bearing (675).
9. Inspect the reaction sun gear and drum for:
^ Chipped teeth
^ Worn bushing
^ Scored drum
