26. Detent Lever and Manual Shaft Installation

1. Install a new manual shaft seal (62).





2. Install the detent lever (60) and parking pawl actuator assembly (56).





3. Install the manual shaft (61). The identification groove must be on the outside.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the manual shaft nut (57).
^ Tighten the nut to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the manual shaft spring pin (59).
6. Check the manual shaft for free movement.
