Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
^ Refer to Express Window Down Caution in Service Precautions.
^ Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Remove the front door water deflector.
4. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped.
5. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the outside rearview mirror.
7. Remove front door outer belt sealing strip.
8. Remove the window weatherstrip.
9. Remove the front door speaker screws (1).
10. Remove the front door speaker (2).
11. Disconnect the speaker connector.




12. Remove the front door lower channel bolts.
13. Remove the front door lower channel through the top of the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the front door lower channel through the top of the door frame.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the front door lower channel bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the front door lower channel bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).




3. Connect the speaker connector.
4. Install the front door speaker (2) to the door.
5. Install the front door speaker screws (1).

Tighten
Tighten the front door speaker screws (1) to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

6. Install the window weatherstrip.
7. Install front door outer belt sealing strip.
8. Install the outside rearview mirror.
9. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip.
10. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped.
11. Install the front door water deflector.
12. Install front door trim panel.
13. Remove tape from the window.
14. Enable SIR system, if equipped with SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
