Window Guide Rail Replacement - Front Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
2. Roll the window all the way up.
3. Remove the front door trim panel.
4. Remove the water deflector.
5. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate, if equipped.
6. Remove the guide rail bolts.
7. Remove the guide rail.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the guide rail.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the guide rail bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the guide rail bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

3. Adjust the guide rail:
3.1. Roll the window part way down.
3.2. Loosen both the bolts on the guide rail adjuster.
3.3. Roll the window back up and tighten both the guide rail adjuster bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the guide rail adjuster bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

4. Check the to ensure that the window seats into the door frame.
5. Install the inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate, if equipped.
6. Install the water deflector.
7. Install the front door trim panel.
8. Enable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming in Restraint Systems.
