Window Guide Channel Replacement - Front Door

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Express Window Down Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disable the SIR system, if equipped with the SIR side impact system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
4. Remove the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door (SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door).
5. Remove the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
6. Remove the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
7. Remove front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
8. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).




9. Remove the front door speaker screws (1).
10. Remove the front door speaker (2).
11. Disconnect the speaker connector.




12. Remove the front door lower channel bolts.
13. Remove the front door lower channel through the top of the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the front door lower channel through the top of the door frame.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the front door lower channel bolts.

Tighten the front door lower channel bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).




3. Connect the speaker connector.
4. Install the front door speaker (2) to the door.
5. Install the front door speaker screws (1).

Tighten the front door speaker screws (1) to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

6. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Door Window Weatherstrip).
7. Install front door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
8. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (Power Mirror Replacement).
9. Install the front door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
10. Install the Inflatable restraint side impact sensor mounting plate if equipped. Refer to SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door (SIR Sensor Mounting Plate Replacement - Front Door).
11. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement Service and Repair.
12. Install front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair.
13. Remove tape from the window.
14. Enable SIR system, if equipped with SIR side impact system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
