Radio Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate.
2. Remove the heater and A/C (HVAC) control.
3. Push and hold the release tabs on the left and right sides of the radio in order to release the radio from the IP.




4. Partially remove the radio from the IP in order to disconnect the antenna (2) and the electrical connector (1) from the radio.
5. Remove the radio from the IP.

IMPORTANT: New and remanufactured radios do not come with mounting brackets, studs or nuts. The hardware will need to be transferred to the new or remanufactured radio.

6. If the radio is to be replaced, remove the mounting brackets and studs from the radio.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the mounting brackets and studs to the radio.
2. Partially install the radio in order to connect antenna (2) and electrical connector (1).




3. Align the radio alignment pins to the IP opening and push the radio towards the front of the vehicle until an audible click is heard.
4. Tug on the radio in order to verify the radio is secure.
5. Install the HVAC control.
6. Install the IP center trim plate.
