Rear Body Mount Replacement (FE1 and FE3)
Removal Procedure1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tires and the wheels.
3. Using a block of wood and a suitable jack support the rear support assembly.
4. Remove the 2 rear support assembly bolts.
5. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement in Exhaust Systems.
6. Lower the rear of the support assembly.
7. Remove the 2 bolts at the body mount.
8. Remove the rear body mount.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the rear body mount.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the bolts securing the body mount.
^ Tighten the bolts to 77 Nm (57 ft. lbs.).
3. Raise the support assembly and the exhaust.
4. Install the 2 rear bolts securing the support assembly to the vehicle body.
^ Tighten the bolts to 191 Nm (141 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the 4 exhaust hangers.
6. Install the tires and the wheels.
^ Tighten the wheel nuts to 125 Nm (80 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Inspect and adjust the rear toe. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment.
