Console Compartment Door Replacement (DTS)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the auxiliary HVAC control from the center console. Refer to Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement in HVAC Automatic.




2. Remove the upper 2 fasteners (1) from the HVAC control opening on the center console endcap (3).
3. Remove the 2 lower fasteners (2) from the rear of the console endcap (3).
4. Remove the center console endcap (3) from the center console.
5. Open the console compartment door.
6. Use a flat bladed tool in order to remove the rear air vent cover (2) from the center console.
7. Remove the cellular phone wiring, if equipped.




8. Remove the 2 fasteners (1) from the console door hinge.
9. Remove the console door and hinge assembly from the center console.



Installation Procedure

1. Align the console lid and hinge assembly to the center console.
The center console door has alignment pins next to the top 2 hinge fasteners.




2. Install the top 2 console hinge fasteners (1).
3. Reinstall the cellar phone wiring if equipped.
4. Install the air vent cover (2).
5. Close the console compartment door.




6. Align the center console endcap (3) with the rear of the center console.
7. Install the 4 console endcap fasteners (1, 2).
8. Install the auxiliary HVAC control. Refer to Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioning Control Module Replacement in HVAC Automatic.
