Engine Lift Bracket Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the bolt (2) securing the rear transaxle brace (1) to the transaxle.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Remove the nuts (3) securing the rear transaxle brace (1) to the cylinder head.
5. Remove the engine lift bracket retaining bolts.





6. Remove the engine lift bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the engine lift bracket to the cylinder head.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the engine lift bracket retaining bolts.
^ Tighten the engine lift bracket retaining bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).





3. Position the rear transaxle brace (1) to the cylinder head.
4. Loosely install the nuts (3) securing the rear transaxle brace (1) to the cylinder head.
5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
6. Install the bolt (2) securing the rear transaxle brace (1) to the transaxle.
^ Tighten the rear transaxle brace bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Tighten the nuts (3) securing the rear transaxle brace (1) to the cylinder head.
^ Tighten the rear transaxle brace nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
