A/T Shift Lock Control - Disassemble

1. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
2. Disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock control connector.

Important: Using excessive force to remove the automatic transmission shift lock control may cause damage.





3. Use a screwdriver to pry the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column.
4. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control from the automatic transmission shift lock control mounting bracket.





5. If necessary, remove the 2 pan head tapping screws from the automatic transmission shift lock control mounting bracket.
6. Remove the automatic transmission shift lock control mounting bracket.
