Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble

1. Check the steering column for accident damage.
2. Remove the tilt knob (1) from the steering column.





3. Gently pry the steering column closeout trim covers (1) from the lower trim covers (2).
4. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (3) from the lower trim covers (2).
5. Remove the lower trim covers (2).





6. Remove 1 pan head tapping screw (2) from the upper trim covers (1).
7. Remove the upper trim covers (1) with the steering column closeout trim covers (3) still attached.





8. If necessary, remove the steering column closeout trim covers from the upper trim covers.
