Front Fender Replacement
Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Tape Corners of Panel Notice in Cautions and Notices.
1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) In Bumpers.
3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood (Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood) .
5. Remove the rear hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement (Hood Rear Seal Replacement) .
6. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
8. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement () in Exterior Trim.
9. Remove the bolts (2) securing the lower portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
10. Remove the bolts (3) securing the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
11. Remove the fastener (1) securing the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
12. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
13. Remove the front fender (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the front fender to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the bolts (1, 2, 3 and 4) in order to secure the upper portion of the front fender to the vehicle in the sequence shown.
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Install the bolts (3) in order to secure the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
4. Install the fastener (1) in order to secure the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.
Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
5. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the lower front portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) in Bumpers.
7. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood (Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood) .
9. Install the rear outer hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement (Hood Rear Seal Replacement) .
10. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
11. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement () in Exterior Trim.
13. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Exterior Lighting.
