Blower Motor Replacement - Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDURECAUTION: Refer to SIR Handling Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP). Refer to IP Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the left and right carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the front carpeting in order to access the rear ducts. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Front in Interior Trim.
4. Remove the ducts from the rear blower/IP center support assembly (1, 2).
5. Remove the fasteners (3) retaining the rear blower/IP center support assembly (1, 2) to the floor.
6. Remove the rear blower/IP center support assembly from the vehicle.
7. Remove the rear blower motor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear blower motor to the IP center support assembly.
2. Install the rear blower/IP center support.
3. Install the fasteners (3) that retain the rear blower/IP center support assembly (1, 2) to the vehicle floor
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Torque the fasteners (3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
4. Install the ducts to the rear blower/IP center support assembly.
5. Install the front carpeting. Refer to Carpet Replacement - Front in Interior Trim.
6. Remove the left and right carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front in Interior Trim.
7. Install the Instrument Panel (IP). Refer to IP Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
