The IPC illuminates the ENGINE POWER REDUCED - 41 indicator in the DIC when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects a malfunction in the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) system. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the PCM requesting illumination.
