Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Replacement - Rear

- J 44253 ABS Reluctor Installer

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the wheel speed sensor (2).

Important: Do not reuse the wheel speed sensor reluctor after it has been removed.





2. Remove and discard the wheel speed sensor reluctor (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Apply LOCTITE(R) to the inner portion of the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2).
2. Insert the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2) onto the hub assembly.
3. Install the ring (1) of the J 44253 ABS reluctor installer onto the wheel speed sensor reluctor.





4. Insert the J 44253 ABS reluctor installer (1).

Important: Turn the J 44253 until it just touches the ring of the J 44253.

5. Turn the J 44253 ABS reluctor installer (1) to thread the wheel speed sensor reluctor.
6. Install the wheel speed sensor.
