55. Lower Control Valve Body Assembly Disassemble
1. Use a small screwdriver in order to disconnect the electrical connectors from the following pans:
- 1-2 shift solenoid valve (909)
- shift solenoid valve (910)
- Transmission fluid pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch assembly (936)
- Internal mode switch (IMS) (942)
2. Remove the three 10 mm bolts (534) from the channel plate side.
3. Remove the six 10 mm bolts (534, 951, 952, 954) from the accumulator housing.
Important: There are four checkballs (65) and a spring (971) under the accumulator housing (944).
4. Remove the accumulator housing (944) from the channel plate.
5. Remove the four checkballs (65) and the spring (971) from the channel plate.
6. Remove the six 10 mm bolts (941) from the automatic Transmission Fluid Pressure (TFP) manual valve position switch (936).
7. Remove the TFP manual valve position switch (936) from lower control valve body (903).
8. In order to disconnect the manual valve and link assembly (916) from the Internal Mode Switch (IMS) (942), rotate the manual valve and link assembly (916) toward the IMS (942).
9. Turn the manual valve link 90 degrees and rotate the manual valve and link assembly (916) away from the IMS (942).
10. Remove the three 8 mm bolts (939) from the internal mode switch (IMS) (942).
11. Remove the IMS (942).
12. Remove the nine remaining 10 mm bolts (938, 940, 941) from the lower control valve body.
13. Remove the solenoid valve fluid filter retainer (981).
14. Remove the lower control valve assembly (903) from the channel plate.
15. Remove the four checkballs (65).
16. Remove the spacer plate and gasket assembly (935) from the channel plate (900).
