Changing the Steering Wheel Controls Function
From the Radio screen, press the Menu soft key. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll down to SWC function. Use the left/right arrow keys to change from seek to preset. When set on Preset, the steering wheel control SEL switch will seek through the preset stations. When set to Seek, the steering wheel control SEL switch will seek to the next station.Changing Scan Time
From the Radio screen, press the Menu soft key. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll down to Scan Time. Use the left/right arrow keys to change from 5 to 15 seconds. This is the amount of time the radio will pause on each station while scanning.
Setting Signal Tuning
From the Radio screen, press the Menu soft key. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll down to Signal Tuning. Use the left/right arrow keys to change from local to distance. Distance may bring in some weaker stations.
Noise Compensation
With noise compensation on, the audio system monitors the noise in the vehicle and adjusts the volume so it always sounds the same to you. From the Audio screen, press the Menu soft key. With Noise Compensation highlighted use the left/right arrow keys to change from off to on.
Changing the DSP
The Digital Signal Processing (DSP) feature allows you to tailor the equalization to the type of music. From the Audio screen, press the Menu soft key. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll down to Effect. Use the left/right arrow keys to select the preferred DSP.
Changing the DSP Level
From the Audio screen, press the Menu soft key. Use the up/down arrow keys to scroll down to Effect Level. Use the left/right arrow keys to select the preferred DSP level.
Using the Voice Memo Feature
From the Main Screen, press the voice memo soft key. Press the Record soft key, speak your memo. When done press the Stop soft key. The system then compresses the message and stores it with the date and time it was recorded. To replay the message, use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the message and press the center button to play. A message can be appended or deleted by using the soft keys. Other options are available by pressing the Menu soft key and using the arrow keys to change.
