Front Seat Back Frame Replacement

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
2. Remove the seat back cover and pad. Refer toFront Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .
3. Remove the front seat belt assembly. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Driver or Passenger .





Important: Note the air line, if equipped, and electrical wiring routing during disassembly in order to ensure proper air line and electrical wiring routing during reassembly.


4. Disconnect and remove the remaining electrical connectors and the air lines that are attached to the seat back frame.




5. Remove the four fasteners retaining the seat back frame to the recliner.
6. Lift up on the seat back frame in order to disengage the seat back from the recliner.



Installation Procedure





1. Slide the seat back frame down into the recliner and align the fasteners holes.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the four seat back frame fasteners.

Tighten the seat back frame fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Install the seat back cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement (Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement) .




4. Route and connect the electrical connectors for the heated seats and the and the air lines for the lumbar, if equipped, to the seat back.
5. Install the front seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement (Bucket Seat Replacement) .
