Bucket Seat Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disable the SIR System. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Move the front seat rearward in order to access the front seat track trim covers (1).
3. Remove the seat track trim covers (1), both left and right, from the seat track.
Notice: Do NOT tilt the front seat forward because this will damage the seat storage tray.
4. Remove the front seat storage tray. Refer to Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement (Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement) .
5. Remove the front seat track anchor fasteners (1).
6. Move the seat to the full forward position.
7. Position the seat back to the vertical position.
8. Remove the trim cover (1) and remove the anchor fastener access plug (2) from the rear of the seat track.
9. Remove the anchor fasteners from the rear of the seat track.
10. Disconnect the seat electrical connectors.
11. With the aid of an assistant, remove the seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. With the aid of an assistant, install the seat into the vehicle.
2. Connect the electrical connectors.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
3. Install the track anchor fasteners to the rear seat.
Tighten the fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
4. Install the track trim cover (1) and the fastener access plug (2).
5. Move the front seat rearward.
6. Install the track anchor fasteners (1) to the front seat.
Tighten the fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
7. Install the track trim covers (1) to the front seat.
8. Install the storage tray to the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement (Front Seat Storage Tray Replacement) .
9. Enable the SIR System. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
