Inadvertent Power

The Dash Integration Module (DIM) and the Rear Integration Module (RIM) each control the lighting system functions through circuits that enable both the exterior lamps and the interior lamps. The DIM and the RIM open these enabling circuits 10 minutes after the ignition switch is turned OFF with no lamp switch activity. If the ignition switch is turned to any position other than OFF, or if a lamp switch is activated during this 10 minute period the timer will reset for another 10 minutes. This time is reduced to 3 minutes until the vehicle mileage is more than 22.5 km (14 mi) ± 2.2 km (1.4 mi).
