Upper Front Fender Filler Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the park/turn signal lamp assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.




2. Remove the headlamp capsule assembly. Refer to Headlamp Capsule Replacement in Lighting Systems.
3. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the filler panel to the headlamp housing.
4. Remove the nut (2) securing the filler panel (3) to the headlamp housing panel (1).
5. Pull outward in order to remove the filler panel.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the headlamp opening filler (3) to the headlamp housing panel (1).
Notice: The correct tightening sequence must be followed. If the correct sequence is not followed, the headlamp components may warp and cause premature failure of the system.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the fasteners.

Tighten the screws in sequence to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

2. Tighten the fender nut (2) to 6 N.m (53 lb in).
3. Install the headlamp capsule. Refer to Headlamp Capsule Replacement in Lighting Systems.
4. Install the park/turn signal assembly. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
5. Aim the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Aiming in Lighting Systems.
