Adjustment Link Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel.
3. Remove the toe link bolt from the knuckle and discard. The bolt is not reusable.
4. Remove the toe-link-to-suspension-support bolt and nut.





5. Remove the toe link.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the toe-link-to-suspension-support bolt and nut. Do not tighten the bolt at this time.
2. Install the new toe link outer bolt. Do not tighten the bolt at this time.

Notice Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Support the outboard end of the lower control arm with a screw jack in order to bring the suspension to design position. The toe link must be tightened in design position in order to reduce wind up in the bushings.
- Tighten the outer toe link bolt to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the inner toe link nut to 57 Nm (42 ft. lbs.).

4. Install the tire and wheel.
5. Lower the vehicle.
