Support Brace Replacement - Rear Compartment Left

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector to the fuel filler solenoid.
3. Disengage the wiring harness retainers.
4. Remove the fuel filler door release solenoid.
5. Remove the nut that retains the lower portion of the diagonal brace to the vehicle.
6. Remove the nut (2) that retains the upper portion of the diagonal brace.
7. Remove the support brace from the vehicle.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the support brace to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nuts (2) in order to retain the diagonal support brace.

Tighten the nuts to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

3. Install the fuel filler solenoid.
4. Connect the electrical connector.
5. Engage the wiring harness retainers.
6. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement (Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement).
